Quincy,

Thanks for the post. Hey it's always good to be mentioned in the same sentence as Perry Marshall by the way ... :)

You're right on with the big lists out there and it's getting out of hand. I've received several emails over the last few weeks where people are thanking me simply because they are tired of the BS out there. They are thanking me for not following the same trends. So the main thing for everyone to take away is look at the majority crowd and go the complete opposite way. :)

Hey Michael... are you reading my mind or what? Lol. Just this past week I've unsubscribed from almost a dozen lists for the very reason you pointed out... too much pitching, with no content.

These are lists that I've been on for awhile, but for some reason lately something just clicked and it's like I'm seeing straight through the clutter now.

It's funny how these people don't seem to realize that if they just take the time to send good useful info, then every now again send a helpful recommendation (not pitch), they'd make a ton more money because people would trust them and stay on their list.

There's only a handful of lists that I don't ever see myself unsubscribing from because they give more than they take. People like Perry Marshall, Josh Spaulding, and yourself do a good job of building relationships with their subscribers.

Anyway, thanks for the post. Hopefully, anyone who hasn't started building a list will take your advice and do it the right way.

Take care.
