I think what we're all missing here is that guru was trying to make affiliate commissions by subtly sending people to Guru.com with his invisible affiliate link.

Michael,

Thanks for the heads up! I agree about the problems between different kw tools and as far as the Google kw tool, I had not been using it all until you pointed out that it was now showing "real" numbers instead of their almost useless bar graph.

And guru, thanks for demonstrating that there really are some dummies doing Internet Marketing today. Glad to see how intelligent some of the competition is (not) today! I'm missing where you see an affiliate link? It's simply a good tip.

Guru,

If you'll notice there isn't a single affiliate link in the above post. Sorry to disappoint you and your well thought out theory. I don't even affiliate with either of those programs...

Also I'll point out I reported the adwords tool the very first day the changed over to the new statistics.

Perhaps, this was just a lame attempt to add another back link to your website?

So, thanks for your post and have a great one! Make it a cold one ;)

Thanks Michael. I've been spending a bit of time with the new Adwords Tool by Google, and really am helped by your further suggestions to fine tune potential niche keywords. Thanks!
