Adrian,

I am not sure I fully understand the first question. But, I don't really have an avg of what I go after in google. One niche i compete for might have an avg of 500 backlinks per site another may have 1500+. The key is to know that no matter how many backlinks something has it's always beatable with more links and better link sources.

Yep, I really am only concerned with how many backlinks the top 10 have since that's who i want to beat in time.

Hi Michael,

very nice video and info.
What is the average of nº backlinks do you attack in the top 10 in google?
Does you don't focus in the competition with "any keywords" (in brackets)?
Do you focus only in number of backlinks the top 10 competition have?

Thank you
Adrian

James,

The backlinks are the most important. Typically high PR sites also have High backlinks but it's not always the case.

The biggest key is the backlinks. I also want to point out for you when you are building your site, the more relevant the backlinks you have coming in, the better.

So having 1000 backlinks from crappy directories might not be as helpful as having 100 backlinks from say PR4 directories.

That's why relevant links from strong article directories, press releases are so important when building links to your sites.

Miquel,

Thanks for the compliment and I'm glad to have you as a guest here. :) I too get tired of the constant sell sell sell attitude.

Thanks again.

It´s so good to recieve mails from people that know what they are doing.
It´s even better when they do it without selling you anything.
I guess there is a lot of people like me out there that are on a constant
learning process, so videos like this one I apreciate very much.
Thank you from Mexico City and like everybody says CHEERS!AMIGOS!!

Neels,

Your 100% right. :) It's not the answer by itself, but combining it makes it a very valuable and powerful tool.

Too many people simply use one tool and never check it in multiple tools... this sometimes can cause one to waste time building a non-profitable niche.
